Porto Alegre Ferry


Teknicraft has been commissioned to design a 150 passenger catamaran to operate on the route between the cities of Porto Alegre and Guaiba in the south of Brazil.

The 18m vessel will be powered by a pair of Scania engines to have a service speed of 25 kn. On the foredeck will be an area configured to carry bicycles.

Construction will be done by a newly formed aluminium boatyard in Porto Alegre, which is planning to build a series of Teknicraft designed vessels to service various new routes in Brazil.
